At our monthly Friday night dinner (FTN), we honour the traditions of our ancestors by celebrating Shabbes together, but in our own way.
On Mar. 20, our guest speaker will be Myriam Steinberg, who will tell us about her challenges with fertility and parenting as a single woman.
Our doors open at 5:30 pm, so come then to set up your contribution to the pot luck and to shmooze. Promptly at 6:00, we start the Shabbes service, which includes candles, wine, challah, songs and readings. After the service, we share a pot-luck meal, after which we hear a talk from a guest speaker presents. You can come for the service/dinner/talk (admission: a dish for the pot luck supper or $15) or just for the talk at 7:30 (admission: $5), but RSVPs are required in either case: RSVP to email@example.com or 604-873-3243, by Thursday.
